Setting Up Slack & Discord Alerts

Get notified when your service goes down. Here's how to get a webhook URL for Slack or Discord.

💬 Discord

  1. Open your Discord server → Server Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Create Webhook (or select an existing one)
  3. Give it a name (e.g. "LiveStatus Alerts") and select the channel
  4. Click Copy Webhook URL
  5. Paste the URL into LiveStatus when creating or editing a monitor

⚡ Slack

  1. Go to api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From scratch
  2. Name it "LiveStatus" and choose your workspace
  3. Navigate to Incoming Webhooks → toggle Activate Incoming Webhooks ON
  4. Click Add New Webhook to Workspace and select the channel
  5. Copy the webhook URL and paste it into LiveStatus

💡 Tip: Add the webhook URL in the "Webhook URL" field when creating a monitor. You can also update it later from the dashboard. Use the "Test" button to verify your webhook works.
